One of my employees is leaving the job in 2 weeks she has started to come late and becoming ineffici

one of my employees is getting married and is moving to another state on the other coast. she is leaving the job in 2 weeks she has now started to come late and becoming inefficient regularly, when asked how should I treat you -she says - write me up. how should i tackle the situation without causing a revolt as the other employees see that this particular employee is taking undue advantage. should the employee be written up/fired or should i just let her enjoy the last two weeks and wait for her to quit?

Listen this is a touchy situation. She's already quit, so you can't fire her and if you did you'd pay unemployment, not a smart move. So what you should do is decided if she is accomplishing anything at all while she's there. If she is, deal with it and hope your other employees won't follow suit. You don't get much work out of most workers who've given notice anyway, this is common. But if she's not doing anything at all, and your other employees are starting to grumble and you think it could case you staff problems, you should talk to her and tell her that she seems to be finished up here and she can go. You will have to pay her for those final days of her notice, even if you don't want her to come in! Docking her there is illegal and again can cause you to pay unemployment. If you can make the decision, you might be better off with her out of your environment, if your other staff is being upset or might follow suit. If it's not that bad and she's doing something, just hang on until she's gone. If your other employees mention to you that she's getting away with something, you might always soothe them and discourage them from doing the same by saying "yeah, I know. what a shame to ruin all her time here by making us a poor reference and burning bridges."

Fire her. She should be treated like any other employee, and it sounds like she is taking serious advantage of the situation. If it were me (and it were logistically plausible) I would have fired her the first time she threw that "Write me up" line at me.
Yeah, Short-timers disease. Probably best to just tell her you dont need her, go home and get her bags packed. It's better in the longrun to just not have someone around if they are gonna blatantly screw off while everybody else has to work.
Write her up on what ever she is doing wrong. Advise her that if employers ask , it will be in her record. That may help some.

And hope the 2 weeks goes by fast so she is gone. If she need a job reference, she will get a bad one from you because of what she has done, only fair, but you have to tell her. Don't fire her, last thing you want. She could sue you, and a lot of other things.

Good Luck
Tell her she is not welcome to work out her last two weeks.
Sounds like it is time to let her go. If you keep her, you are sending the message to your other employees that it is okay to come in late and not do your work.
Write her up every time she is late. Write her up for insubordination. Document everything. If your company has a progressive disciplinary process follow it and then let her go. If its a cliff edge violation let her go on the spot.

You can also tell her that she is jeopardizing a decent reference due to her inappropriate behavior.
