Go inside then, if they werent open go someplace else! If they allowed one person to get food on a bike, then everyone would start doing it! Plus in a car, if you drive off without paying, they have your license plates on camera, on foot you can grab the food and run.

When you are on a bike or on foot you can run off and the business may not be able to catch you. Vehicles have license plates that businesses can get the number off of and call the police. Why would you ride a bike after dark? It is dangerous. Report It

You should have someone pick you up so if you are hungry you can go thru drive and get food. Now if you do not have the money to buy a car why are you going through drive thru? You should be saving your money so you can buy a car. Report It

i agree on this totaly.

all the fast food places in my town close at 11,

some late nights you get kinda hungry, and the only

thing open is the drive thru, and i asked a bunch of people,

(including people who work at them) and said no theyll

refuse to serve them enless in a car. i dont understand why either!
You have to be an a motorized vehicle. You can't ride through on your bike. It's the "Drive-Thru" law!
I have tried to buy food at a drive through on foot before too, and they denied me too.

I argued with them for a while about it, and the answer I got was that it was a liability concern. If some drunk in a car runs you down in the drivethrough lane, then they are gonna get sued.

Fairly lame excuse, but that is what it is all about.
It is like that around here too... pretty sucky but not a darn thing you can do about it. I think it is some safety/insurance thing, they don't want their workers or you getting 'attacked' on their property. Although it would be just as easy for someone to conceal a weapon in a car (if not easier!) and kill the worker just as easily if on a bike.
Walk-ups and people on bikes are hard to see when they're by the drive-thru, and drivers have a nastry tendency to hit them. At least enough so that the liability insurance policies pretty much demand that such a risk be avoided. I think some states have codified it into law, but am not certain.
ya it isnt fair! its a drive thru and in a sense your driving on your bike - you manuever, turn, and use wheels, like a normal car.

i would go to that place more often and stya in the drive thru until they serve you. they cant call the police, cause what are htey going to say? "a biker wants some food because he just slaved at work and is hungry" not likely. so i would definitely hold my own at the drive thru place. :)
there being d icks, tell the manager they dont wanna do their job

I'VE walked throu them before
Liability concerns. Also possibly concerned for your safety.
Don't eat fast food ever. Somebody misspelled fats and nobody has corrected them. Plan ahead and enjoy a hunk of cheese, a loaf of bread, Salami, and a bottle of Vino.
